The movie is colorful and the village is very close to the concept art shown previously, which is a win. It does seem like Disney has gone for magical girl tropes like the outcast loner with powers, a magic bracelet, a girl gets in trouble for unleashing powers and causing chaos at school, etc. The comparisons to Harry Potter and the Owl House are already starting to roll in.
